Job description
We are looking for a self-driven person, who has experience in offering exceptional customer service. They need to be motivated, calm, empathetic and driven to go above and beyond for our clients and their pets. Most importantly the candidate needs to be a team player, flexible and support Green Pastures in achieving its vision of being one of the best veterinary practices in the South West of England.
- You will spend the majority of your time on either Cat or Dog Reception and be working with the team on the Front of House although some time may be dedicated to answering the telephone and dealing with additional responsibilities.
- We want our clients to feel as if they are a part of the Green Pastures family, so you will need to ensure that every client feels welcomed and that nothing is too much trouble.
- You will need to support clients with their requirements, some of these will be happy and some will be sad so empathy is key.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Meeting and greeting clients and dealing with questions and enquiries.
- Answering the telephone and providing admin support.
- Booking/cancelling/moving appointments as necessary.
- Checking and updating client records.
- Processing client payments and recording transactions, and making sure at end of day all entries have been balanced and reconciled.
- Ensuring the reception area/consult rooms and pharmacy are kept clean and tidy and restocked.
- Responding to requests/specific tasks from Veterinary Surgeons, nurses and management.
- Putting up and dispensing medications to clients.
- Ensuring that requested food is ordered and recorded.
- You will ensure that each day the opening and closing checklists are completed
- Performing as part of a team.
- Following the values of the practice.
- Ability to adapt to change and perform different tasks as required but the changing role within the organisation and overall business objectives of the practice.
- Flexibility is key and so being able to cover extra hours as required to cover sickness and holiday cover.
Overview:
· Average 30 hours per week plus 1 in 2 Saturdays worked 8.30am-5.30pm (For the right candidates this could be split into two positions)
· Rota to be confirmed
· Job Type: Part-time
