Purpose of the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced friendly Receptionist to join our team at Grantley Hall. You’ll be the face of Grantley Hall, offering a warm and authentic Yorkshire welcome to all our guests. As a Receptionist you’ll consistently be engaging with hotel guests and communicating internally with relevant departments and externally to ensure that each and every guest requests are dealt with efficiently and professionally.

  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments
  • Attend training courses and meetings as required
  • Point of contact for guests upon arrival, throughout their stay and upon departure
  • Reservation audits with the upmost attention to detail
  • Be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any reasonable tasks as requested
  • Liaise with Housekeeping efficiently regarding bedroom statuses


About You

  • Proven track record within a Front Office / Reception in a 4* or 5* luxury property
  • Experience in understanding, delivering and exceeding guest expectations
  • Fluent in written and verbal English
  • Ensure that the agreed standard of personal presentation is adhered to at all times
  • Great attitude and a willingness to be flexible in the fast paced nature of the business
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt according to business needs
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS is beneficial, however training is provided
