Job description
We are seeking a well presented and experienced Receptionist to join our dedicated team.
The position is full time working 37 hours a week across 5 days Monday - Friday. The surgery is open from 8.00-8.00 Monday - Friday with your shift pattern to be comfirmed upon appointment. In line with NHS England, there may be a requirement for some weekend working.
You will act as a first port of contact for all patients and relatives, doctors, nurses and healthcare staff. We are seeking a confident, conscientious, reliable and flexible individual. You will have previous reception experience or customer service background with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and a positive can do attitude. Previous experience working within the NHS is preferred but not essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Cover the reception area
· Deal with telephone and face to face patient queries
· Book appointments
· Entering data accurately onto the system
· Scanning and matching documentation
· Supporting the practice in providing various administrative duties as and when required
· Follow and adhere to compliance and policy procedures
· Follow and maintain the practices processes and health and safety guidelines
Experience Required:
· Reception experience or Customer service background
· Strong IT skills
· Systmone knowledge would be beneficial
· Excellent telephone manner
