Gradute/ Trainee QS, £22 - £35k + Car allowance + Pension + Progression and Bonus/Profit share opportunities

Full Time, based on site and in offices

Bristol (Covering South West Region)

Due to significant growth and an impressive order book, Chesterfield Interiors is looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Trainee /Gradute QS to join their business. This is a challenging role which requires the successful candidate to work well under pressure, and prioritise workload effectively. We are looking for applicants with experience in either housing, or commercial, (or both) to manage contracts across many of our sites in Bristol and further afield across the South West.

The role will be a mixture of working on site and in the office as required, and you will be undertaking the following tasks:

  • Preparation of take-off's and compiling tender documents for the appointing of sub contractors
  • Prepare material enquiries, analysing quotations and placing of materials orders.
  • Carry out tasks as instructed by various members of the Commercial/quantity surveying team, such as measurement for valuations
  • Recording progress and review monthly applications for payments.
  • Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the preparation of monthly valuations for projects.
  • Work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyor to understand and manage variations. - Attend internal and sub-contract meetings.
  • Supporting the Director with estimating and pricing and tenders.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Experience of working within the dry lining industry would be desirable.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Computer literate with experience of using MS Office.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills to oversee logistics and operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
