Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high clinical patient satisfaction rates for the organization. This position is responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting patient information, verifying insurance, and providing high-quality customer service to patients. The position requires a strong desire to learn the role, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, plan, and prioritize effectively, and active listening skills.
Job Duties
Greets patients in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Answers phones in a prompt and efficient manner
- Collect patient information and inputting information in medical records
- Processes & Verifies insurance eligiblity in a timely manner
- Processes payments for services rendered
- Performs all duties in accordance with clinic policies and procedures
- Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with all HIPAA regulations
- Maintains a safe work environment by abiding by safety procedures and following proper safety procedures
- Works well with others by sharing knowledge and tools
- Performs other duties as assigned
