Job description
We’re growing, and are looking for someone to join our team of highly skilled engineering and project management professionals!
Why Siemens?
Smart infrastructure enables the way we want to live – happily, comfortably, sustainably and in harmony. We do this from physical products, components, and systems to connected, cloud-based digital offerings and service. From intelligent grid control and electrification to smart storage solutions, from building automation and control systems to switches, valves, and sensors. We put sustainability and engineering excellence at the heart of what we do, while embracing the transition to digital.
You’ll be joining a company that solves the hardest problems, and you’ll be given lots of opportunities for personal growth, development and recognition, in a supportive, collaborative and open team culture.
The role
We’re looking for an Entry Level Project Manager to join Siemens in our Electrification and Automation business and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow. Previous experience as a project manager is not essential - you bring your passion, organisation skills, and a desire to learn and grow, and we’ll provide the training to help unleash your potential and open the door to a new career.
The process
In fact, we’re scrapping the CV. Instead, we will ask you 4 questions to understand your motivations and fit.
Please upload a word document in the CV field, with answers to the following questions:
- Why do you want to join Siemens?
- What qualities can you bring to the role?
- What gives you purpose in your work?
- Why is project management important for Siemens success?
Following the submission of your application, you will be invited to take our task based assessment to identify your natural strengths. If successful, you will be taken through to the interview stages, which will include a realistic project management task and a series of situational questions.
In return, we’ll provide you with some valuable feedback and insights which may help you with your job search, regardless of whether we would like to progress your application to the next stage.
The successful candidate will receive training, mentoring and coaching to support their development to excel, and you’ll be working closely with more senior Project Managers to support you to reach your potential.
Our deadline for applications (this includes submitting your answers to our questions) is 25/01/2023.
We’re looking for someone who can:

- Cope and Adapt: Projects and plans change. You’ll need to be able to cope with the pressure and adapt accordingly, ensuring that priorities are reassessed and all projects are kept on track despite the challenges.
- Learn and Grow: New technical information, knowledge and a complex environment means learning and growth will be key to success. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you are able to acquire the knowledge you need to perform in an engineering environment.
- Interact and Liaise: You will interact with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and customers, liaising and influencing as needed. As projects change over time, managing customer expectations is key to ensuring the project runs smoothly. Balancing the needs of the engineering team, with the delivery of the project will take skills in interacting and communicating.
- Process and Evaluate: Processing all the incoming information, and thinking carefully and rationally to come to decisions effectively and efficiently will support your success. As we do not require experience, you’ll be someone that can process new information, and make carefully informed evaluations within new knowledge domains.
Here's what we offer:
- The opportunity to join a supportive environment. We care about excellence, but we also look after each other.
