We are proud of our fantastic & happy receptionists. You will be joining our thriving small animal Veterinary Surgery in Chessington, Surrey. We are a well established practice, caring for long-standing clients as well as many new pets.
This is a PERMANENT PART TIME position for working EVERY WEEKDAY Monday-Friday, and 1:3 Saturdays.
SHIFT LENGTH: 5.5 hours Mon-Fri, and 5 hours on your Saturday.
The weekdays are comprised of three alternating shifts of 8am - 2:30pm on one day, then 1pm - 7:30pm the next day, and then a split shift of 8am-11am returning for 5pm-7:30pm the next day, on a rolling pattern (so not the same hours on set days). There is a short Saturday shift of 8:30am-1:30pm, which is on a 1:3 rota basis. Four weeks annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays. The right candidate should have excellent communication skills and work efficiently. You must have a confident, friendly and polite manner on the telephone and also be comfortable with face-to-face interactions with clients. You need to be flexible, efficient, and well organised with the ability to cope well working under pressure. Responsibilities will involve answering telephone queries, booking appointments for clients using the practice management software, email, greeting clients on arrival, taking payments for services provided, liaising with clinical staff, maintaining computer records, maintaining the reception area, displays and waiting room sales.
The rate of pay is from £10.42 per hour. After completion of your probation period, we enrol our Receptionists onto the Bronze Level Accredited Veterinary Receptionist Award training programme to help you excel in your role.
