Job description
To provide a Front-Line Reception Service, ensuring a customer-focused service is delivered. To monitor and maintain the reception area during busy times ensuring the continued safety of staff, visitors and patients in associated with reception duties. To assess and where possible defuse volatile situations involving patients, visitors or staff in the Hospital main entrance. To maintain and uphold the organisations Smoke Free Policy.
To provide an efficient, customer-focused service when dealing with incoming and outgoing calls to the department. To maintain the link/reference point of access for the organisation to security services, estates and facilities and interpreting out of hours services matching need with response. To provide an out of hours gateway for all internal and external queries to the organisation, including, but not restricted to social services; management; medical teams; police and correctly sign-posting any queries to the appropriate service, individual or team. To report and log all personal safety alarm activations for the hospital.
To report and address any problems with Hospital systems i.e. fire alarm / issues with main hospital telephone lines, Tele directory, Pinpoint Personal Alarm System.
