Job description
- Opening/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols · To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures · Booking appointments using computerised system · Handle general enquires via telephone and face to face · Take accurate messages and relay to appropriate person · Process repeat and acute prescriptions · Preparation of appropriate recall letters · Dealing with clinical waste · Handling incoming samples · Action referrals · New patient/online registration · Process patients change of address (Knowledge of practice area) · Scanning, attaching, downloading, and filing letters · Obtaining information and results from outside agencies · Keeping the reception area clean and tidy, stock check, all posters/leaflets UpToDate · Checking fridges · Attend/Complete Mandatory training · Provision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required. · Opening post · Fax and photocopy · Data input of all relevant information using read codes · General use of Microsoft office · Prioritising tasks from different systems · To deal with queries from the practice website *Any other appropriate administrative tasks as and when required*
