Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Hotel Receptionist to join our busy team. You will deal with overseeing guest bookings, payments and communicating with all departments within the hotel to ensure smooth daily operations of our 55 bedroom Hotel that also has event space for up to 200 persons. You will also be trained to handle small event enquiries too.
The role includes greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner both on the telephone and in person. You will be the first and last point of call for all guests, therefore customer service skills must be second to none. You will also deal with customer questions and enquires.
The successful candidate will embody all of the hotels customer service values and provide an exceptional service to clients, creating a great experience for guests during their stay at the hotel.
The role is split into shifts working between 7am and 9pm and is based on 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis.
The Person
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has an enthusiastic, proactive, and “can-do” attitude as the role is so varied
- Is organised while working well under pressure
- Is quick to learn new skills and is comfortable working with IT / Computer systems
- Recognises that great customer experience is key to the success of the hotel, and is keen to receive and respond to customer feedback in a constructive manner
- Is able to embrace the hotel’s values and ethos
- Is well presented, with excellent communication skills
Candidates with previous working experience within a large multi-national Hotel brand will be welcomed and ideally working with Guestline Hotel IT systems although training will be provided.
