Anniesland Medical Practice is a large, busy and friendly training Practice in NW Glasgow. We provide General Medical Services to our registered population. We offer a supportive and fun working environment with a focus on personal development across all roles.
We are currently looking to recruit a further enthusiastic and reliable Medical Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join our team. 37 hours a week over 4 or 5 days, between the hours of 8.15 – 6 Monday to Friday. We would also consider two part time posts. There is currently scope for negotiation on how the hours are worked, but will require 6pm finish Monday and Thursday initially. Salary Scale £20,932pa (£10.85 per hour) to £23228pa (£12.04 per hour), the starting salary will be dependent on experience. This role requires excellent communication and IT skills as well as previous experience in a patient or customer facing role. You must be able to work under pressure, adapt in busy and unpredictable situations whilst upholding patient confidentiality at all times. Previous experience in a GP or healthcare setting and with GP computer systems (EMIS and Docman) is desirable. However, full training will be provided to the right candidate. The role will include dealing with patients at reception and over the telephone, processing prescriptions and e-mail, booking and cancelling appointments, ‘signposting’ patients to the appropriate service, phoning hospitals, other services and many other administrative duties.
