About the Role
Kent Elms Health Centre has an opportunity for a receptionist to join our team, on a part-time basis, for 16 hours per week; various hours available between 08.00 - 18:30, Monday to Friday.
- Greeting and directing all patients;
- Making appointments and giving out appointment cards, where required;
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.;
- Dealing with requests for information, and managing problems and complaints;
- Advising patients of practice procedures;
- Registering new patients; Answering the telephone, promptly.

About the Candidate
We are looking for a receptionist to join our busy practice team and help make a positive impact on our local community. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals, who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service and have the following attributes:- Excellent communication skills, with a clear and polite telephone manner;
- Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times;
- Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in distressing situations;
- Confidence to work as part of a team and ability to "think on your feet";
- Strong IT and administration skills;
- Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable.

Our practice, at Kent Elms Health Centre, is one of the oldest practices situated at the border of Westcliff-on-Sea and Eastwood. We have a good team of doctors, practice nurses and committed practice staff involved in providing the highest possible level of primary care to our patients in diagnosing, treating and preventing illnesses.
