Salary: £10.50 per hour
Fixed Hours:
Monday: 3.30pm to 7.30pm
Wednesday: 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Thursday: 3.30pm to 7.30pm
This is NOT a term-time only job. We do not close during half term breaks and school holidays.
Kumon is a leading worldwide supplementary education provider based in 44 countries, providing after-school Maths and English programmes to over 3.7 million children worldwide between the ages of 3 and 18.
Previous experience not necessary but the successful candidate will be:
· Comfortable using Technology
· Subject to the Enhanced DBS checks, including two references
· Subject to an Evaluation Period of 8 weeks
· Happy to undertake various training in keeping with working with children
· Well-organised and confident; able to work well under pressure
· Good with names and faces
The Kumon Boston Receptionist will:
- Monitor the Register and Fire Safety Sign-In/Out
- Meet & Greet children and their parents; maintain discipline in waiting children
- Make sure every family follows procedure, especially handover & punctuality
- Take messages from parents and liaise between staff and parents
- Call any absent children; arrange collection of work
- Assist with keeping the centre clean and tidy
- Assist with keeping accurate records, digital and paper based
- Play an active role in child protection and health and safety
- Be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks
- Take on other tasks within the remit of a receptionist/admin assistant as may arise as the post evolves
