Job description
We’re looking for a Real Estate Paralegal to join our team in Bradford on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting into the into the Rights of Access Specialist, the role will primarily be focused on real estate finance, real estate acquisitions and disposals, asset management and landlord & tenant matters but you will gain a knowledge and experience of wider land and property matters in connection with the telecommunications industry.
You will be assisting the team of qualified lawyers and running your own small portfolio of matters using a case management system and have access to some of the latest technology to help you in day-to-day activities.
All paralegal roles will be supported by specialists and a Team Manager to ensure you gain the skills and expertise to progress in your legal career.
Based in our Shared Service Centre, known as LSS. Acts as a central specialty service supporting the wider Liberty Global group with specialisms in areas of Finance, Accounting, People, Legal & Systems. This central team supports a number of businesses across the Liberty Global footprint including Virgin Media.
What will you be doing?
- Producing high quality legal documentation including editing and negotiating specific wording, proof reading, technical drafting of contract clauses.
- Research and apply current legislation and consider this alongside case law in order to properly advise and support stakeholders.
- Draft and communicate with care and skill to uphold the professional image of the wider Department.
- Proactively progressing matters to a conclusion through efficient and effective planning and management to meet competing demands, actively working alongside team members within and outside the legal team.

Essential:
- Organised with a keen eye for detail.
- An enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn.
- Good communicator who is willing to ask lots of questions.
- Comfortable on the telephone.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Experience with MS Office, including Excel
Desirable:
- Law degree and/or relevant paralegal experience particularly desirable in commercial property, contract etc.
- Knowledge of law and experience of case handling.
We do consider opportunities to support paralegals to qualification via the Legal Apprenticeship and SQE subject to performance and completion of a minimum level of service.
