Job Overview
Role & Responsibilities
To provide dedicated support for the delivery of building fabric services acoss the estate. Primarily focusing
on providing the highest standard planned and reactive service delivery of services and supporting the Mitie
strategic imperatives at an operational level.
Objectives
- Support the Mitie Engineering Service with maintaining delivery of fabric services across the clients portfolio.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures and maintain a positive Health and Safety Culture
- To build great customer relationships and deliver customer service excellence

Main Duties
- Ensuring the timely delivery of general building and fabric maintenance ·
- Ensure that service delivery meets the requirements of performance targets, KPIs and Health & Safety ·
- Support for all general handyman duties for 2-man working and absence cover ·
- Undertake minor works / alterations. ·
- Ensuring equipment is kept clean, in working order and sent for repair where necessary. ·
- Carry out Fabric Technician duties, such as but not limited to: o
- Maintenance / repair to joinery o
- Maintenance / minor repair to building fabric Ad hoc painting / touching up to properties
- Minor mechanical / electrical repairs
- inor repair to plumbing systems and clearing blockages
- Gutter & gulley clearance
- (PPM's) Planned Preventative Maintenance jobs assigned
- Lath & Plaster inspections
- Repairs and modifications to tiling
- Repairs and modification to door locks and door jam repair, hanging doors, adjusting and installing door closers,
- Repairs and maintenance to ceiling tiles, and any general repair to the facility that is required to maintain the standard of the building.
- Out of Hours call out ( On call ) approx every 8 weeks (subject to satisfactory probationary period)X
What we are looking for
- Previous Fabric Technician role or similar experience in a large organisation
- Excellent technical competency skills in relation to general building repairs and maintenance and a sound
- understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- An ability to work efficiently as a team as well as under your own initiative in a demanding environment
- where accuracy is paramount
- A professional attitude in all areas of job role with the ability to challenge issues comprehensively and resolve
- them effectively
- Excellent Customer Service experience preferably with an emphasis on dealing with customers and clients
- both face to face and over the phone
- Manual Handling Certified and physically able
- Enthusiastic and Hard working
- Full UK driving license or equivalent and be able to travel freely around the designated portfolio
- DBS clearance
