Reports to: Partner - Head of Southampton hub
Purpose of job
To advise on a broad range of real estate matters focussing, in particular, on commercial investment and development.

Southampton efficiently services real estate sector clients on matters resourced seamlessly between our three UK offices, drawing on different practices and skills across London, Manchester and Southampton.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our office in Southampton which has grown over the past 2 years to a team of 18. Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner are at the forefront of providing legal services in a new way. Through a mixture of new technology and innovative working methods, we are able to offer our clients an efficient, cost effective and tailored service. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and high value transactions in a flexible and fast-paced environment.

Partners and fee earners in the Southampton office as well as the wider Real Estate team in London and Manchester
Experience and knowledge
Solid transactional real estate experience, working in a fast-paced environment is ideal but if you have a willingness to learn and develop with us, we can offer all the right training and experience

Key responsibilities
- Providing advice on a broad portfolio of asset management work together with working on sales, purchases and financings with appropriate supervision and training
- Draft and negotiate documents to ensure they meet client requirements
- Provide advice to clients to ensure that their interests are protected and that all relevant laws and regulations are adhered to at all times
- Be part of key client teams working with colleagues based in other BCLP offices
- Begin to develop client relationships, with clients ranging from private equity funds, property companies and our annuity clients such as the Crown Estate, Aviva Investors and Great Portland Estates
