JN Bentley employ 1500 people and we have a turnover currently of £300 million. Our workforce is due to increase by 25% over the next 12 months.
JN Bentley are recruiting all over the UK. These exciting opportunities are of all levels, General Operative, Skilled Operative, Plant Operatives, Lead Hand/Ganger, Working Foremen and General Foremen.
We are looking for ready-made gangs and individuals to form gangs to join our growing teams. You will need to have a positive attitude to work and Health & Safety, with experience of general civil work, concreting and pipe laying
Candidate Specification
As a Leadhand/ Ganger you will take overall responsibility of the gang. As the most experienced member of the team, you will be leading, instructing, and mentoring the other members.
As a Skilled Operative you will be the number 2 in the gang. You will take charge when required and lead other operatives in completing tasks. You must have suitable experience of all aspects of the work we do.
As a General Operative you will need to be a multi skilled individual with good experience in a wide range of civil engineering aspects.
Plant Operatives at JN Bentley are of the highest standard. Just having an excavator ticket is not enough. We expect skills in all aspects of machine work and great safety leadership on site.
As a Foreman you will control multiple gangs on the site and takes the lead on Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental management. Under your leadership you will drive the workforce to success.
We are looking for you to have as a minimum:
Current CSCS Card
Current CPCS/ NOCN Plant Card

Depending on the roles we would expect additional qualifications, however we also offer development and progression within the company.
Salary is negotiable dependant on experience.
