POSITION SUMMARY
Corero is looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join its team developing the user interface for its leading DDoS protection solutions. The successful candidate will develop capabilities and features to manage and report on our high-performance DDoS protection solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in a small team developing the software for Corero's management solutions.
- Software development and support of complex Java software within a Linux environment.
- Mix of development around pure Java development, with some React / JavaScript / HTML.
- Collaborate closely with other team members, product management and engineering management on requirements.
- Deliver strong contribution to Corero intellectual property and software assets.
- Work across the entire lifecycle including design, implementation, integration, and bug fix.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Good communication, presentation and design documentation skills.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Good knowledge of single application frameworks (e.g. React, Vue,js or Angular)
- Good knowledge of HTML5, SASS, CSS.
- Strong understanding of unit test methodologies.
- Solid experience in Linux environments.
LOCATION
This position is associated with our central Edinburgh office, Scotland, UK. Flexible working arrangements will mean an expected average 2 days working in the office per week, with remaining days working from home. Fully remote will also be considered for the right candidate.
