Job description

An exciting opportunity as a Seasonal Golf Course Ranger has become available to join the team at Carnoustie Golf Links, as part of the Golf Operations team of our prestigious golf course, winner of the 2023 'Best Golf Course in Scotland over £150' Award.

This role is a seasonal position, ending 31st October 2023. During this time, the successful applicant will work up to 40 hours a week at £9.50-£10.42 per hour. Full-time and part-time positions available. In this role, evening and weekend work will be expected throughout your employment.

Working under the Head of Customer Experience and the Golf Operations Supervisor, the normal duties of this role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and greeting all guests to the organisation
  • Assisting with, and organising our visiting golfers golf bags (lifting approximately 50 lbs)
  • Operating and maintaining our indoor performance centre
  • Hire goods distribution and maintenance
  • Ranger duties over all 3 of our courses
  • Starter duties over all 3 of our courses
  • The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, standing for long periods
  • Dealing with any complaints, following correct procedures
  • Assisting on our guest services desk, when required
  • Assisting with the secure locking up of Links House
  • General housekeeping duties, including the upkeep of our locker rooms, showers and locker facilities
