What it's like to work here:Partnership and the local community are at the heart of Gawthorpe Hall. The wider estate, estate offices and Great Barn are managed by National Trust, with Lancashire County Council managing the Elizabethan Hall and surrounding gardens, and Burnley Football Club being the third major partner as their training ground, Barnfield, is on site.

Situated in the middle of Padiham, the site is very accessible and well used by the local community. It has good public transport links and a car park so it is also accessible to people coming from the surrounding urban areas and further afield too. Whether visitors come for a walk round the woods, a visit to the hall or to bring their children to play on the play trail, there is lots to do and see at Gawthorpe.

You'll join a small and very dedicated team consisting of an Area Ranger (the Line Manager for this role) and volunteers. You'll manage and work alongside the volunteers as well as educational groups carrying out practical conservation and maintenance tasks. There’ll be lots of partnership work both with partners on site and local community groups, colleges and schools. We have big ambitions for Gawthorpe and want you to help us to make them happen.
