Ramp Agent / Baggage Handler at Heathrow LHR
Essential Experience & Skills
-Fluent spoken and written English.
-Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
-Pre-employment checks – ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5-year employment/education history) and criminal record check procedures to meet client and CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report.
Desirable Experience & Skills
Previous airport experience in ramp and/or spur role.
Previous experience working with heavy/operational machinery.
Ability to motivate self and others.
Customer interaction.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Good team player, ability to work on own of initiative.
Job Summary
Manually load cargo, baggage and mail into aircraft.
Assist with aircraft towing and push back operations.
Operate aircraft in-plane loading systems and terminal baggage belt systems.
Interact closely with transport staff and third-party suppliers with the efficient turnaround of their vehicle.
Complete damage reports for equipment and baggage.
Work within set time frames to achieve SLA’s.
To undertake any other duties as required by management, commensurate with the grade of post.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Maintain general security of ramp in accordance with Company Security procedures.
Maintain a safe working environment and observe safe working practices.
Comply with all Company Procedures and Instructions and act on instructions from Supervisors/Managers as necessary.
Hours of work:
* Full time 40 hours per week – various shift patterns.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
