Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Radiology is a busy department providing imaging services from Birth to 16 years of age. This role as a Radiology Departmental Assistant works closely with medical and radiographic staff to provide a high level/standard of care to our patient groups. This can range from working in the Fluoroscopy rooms to working in ultrasound.
The Royal Manchester Children’s Radiology department provides an efficient and busy ultrasound service in a welcoming atmosphere. The department is modern with bright and welcoming surrounding. You will be a vital member of a large dedicated team that works together to deliver the best possible service to the patients of Manchester. To succeed you will ideally need previous experience of working in a hospital environment, have the ability to care and communicate effectively with a wide range of patients and have a flexible approach to work.
The post-holder will join our existing team of Radiographer Assistants, who helpradiographers, ultrasonographers and radiologists with their clinical work. Administrative and clerical work is also part of the role.
This post is primarily within the MRI Scanning service on the Weekends, working hours can be varried to supoort the post holder.
The Post holder will be workign in a clinical area with children, this may be supporting the preperation and explation of the procedures.
We will support the development of the post and post holder within the service;
The post holder will eceive a comprehensive induction and training in all areas,annual appraisals and be elagable forenhanced remuneration for weekend hours.
