The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford currently has a vacancy for a Radiology Assistant to complement our friendly, social and dynamic Radiology team.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your clinical experience and interpersonal skills within the caring setting of musculoskeletal imaging. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent organisational skills to work alongside and assist radiographers, radiologists and radiology nurses in a variety of examinations.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills to enable you to be involved with a variety of tasks in order to assist with the smooth-running of the department and ensure the best outcome for the patient. Previous experience in a healthcare environment is recommended and general IT skills are essential.
We are a busy orthopaedic radiology department carrying out all types of general and specialist orthopaedic examinations. Our Radiology Assistants are required to assist with and organise procedure lists within the ultrasound and fluoroscopy rooms, as well as working alongside radiographers within the main x-ray department, MRI, paediatric ultrasound and bone densitometry.

The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
This role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high standards of care for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. The role requires an enthusiastic, flexible and caring individual who is able to approach difficult situations with compassion and composure.
