An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic appointments officer to work in the X-Ray Department. The contract is for 22.5 hours per week over three days, 9am-5pm Monday, Thursday, and Friday
You will be working as part of a team to provide an appointments service for all modalities to the x-ray department. This will involve scheduling patient’s appointments, liaising with clinicians for extra lists and monitoring waiting lists.
In the X-Ray Department it is how you go about your duties that matters to us. You should be enthusiastic, self motivated and have excellent communication skills to be able to work well with all levels of staff and members of the public. Full training will be given.
Flexibility in hours worked will be necessary to cover annual leave/sickness.
To organise and co-ordinate all modality appointment bookings for the Radiology Department. This requires a high level of independent working, including liaising with all levels of staff as the appointments are tailored to special requirements. This will include the receipt and processing of referrals in accordance with the patient access policy and referral to treatment guidance.
