Job description
The MRI/CT department at the Queen Alexandra hospital is a fun, dynamic vibrant and progressive department and we currently have vacancies for radiology department assistants who are enthusiastic and positive with a caring attitude and a desire to help patients to join our rapidly expanding department.
The cross sectional imaging team are looking for passionate, self motivated departmental assistants to help with all aspects of patient care. Supporting the attendance of patients from wards and the emergency department to the scanners, assisting the radiographers with scanning and providing reassurance and comfort to patients whilst they are in or due to attend the the scanning department. Candidates must have good communication and organisational skills, and be able to work as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.
The department has the benefit of cutting-edge CT and MRI technology and provides staff with the exciting opportunity to work with the latest Toshiba Aquilion One CT scanner and 3T MRI technology in a clinical setting. The department is equipped with 4 CT scanners and 3 MRI scanners with all staff encouraged to rotate through both modalities.
