This interesting and varied position sits within a rapidly growing, multi-award winning Tech company based in a great location in Central London. Reporting into the CFO this position will manage the day to day finances of the business, leading a small team to ensure accounts are completed and signed off efficiently.
This role will allow you to be able to add value and really affect change, helping to shape the finances of the business to ensure the team are able to support the expected growth. You will be working with a great tam and within a very interesting company who provide amazing content on a global basis.
This is a great opportunity that requires a fully qualified individual who has a proven background in leading and managing a small team. You will be a great communicator, highly personable and ideally have gained experience within Tech, Gaming, Media or similar environment.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage a team of 4-5 people, ensuring training, development and balanced workloads
- Full responsibility for the monthly management accounts, reviewing, signing off and submitting within
- 10 working days of month end
- Prepare annual statutory accounts for audit and reconcile to management accounts
- Manage the year end audit, liaising with auditors and managing the relationship
- Constantly review and update the financial reporting systems to ensure optimisation of use alongside compliance with government regulations/legislation
- Oversee the corporation tax & VAT calculations and returns
- Manage the company cashflow
- Full oversight of the ledger, dealing with any escalated issues
- Constantly review & update controls, policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and optimisation
Ideal candidate:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with post qualified experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong work relationships
- Proven team management experience, mentoring, developing and ensuring the correct structure is in place to meet business needs
- Ideally experience gained within a Tech/Media or similar environment
- Thrives in a fast paced environment where your work has a real commercial outcome for the business
- Ability to interact and communicate with stakeholders of all levels,
- Excellent attention to detail and deadline orientated
- Calm under pressure
