What will you be doing?
Our Regional Radio teams in London/Newbury have a number of opportunities for driven and innovative radio engineers to improve performance by ensuring the best possible design, configuration and optimisation of our access network, The focus will be on ensuring that Vodafone achieves the best network performance and coverage KPIs in the UK market,
Your role is about optimising and improving the 2G/3G/4G/5G radio design within the regional team which involves understanding the current radio performance issues in terms of network KPIs and customer complaints, site design weaknesses and implementing improvements for new or existing ones, to meet Vodafone performance targets. Analysis of existing hardware/antenna configurations and proposals to improve network performance. Analysis of radio KPIs and close interaction with Radio Planning, Deployment teams and Operations are the key tasks and responsibilities expected for this role.
Who are we looking for?
Must have an excellent understanding of 2G,3G, 4G radio network technology and the basics of 5G.- Drive Trial Analysis (Layer 3 messages)
- Must have experience on radio coverage planning (including planning tools like Atoll)
- Experience of local optimisation techniques (parametric and physical optimisation) and associated processes
- Experience of working as part of a team or virtual teams to meet challenging timescales
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
