How to contribute to our vision
We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Undergraduate to join our Research & Development team for an Internship in the Summer of 2023.
Do you have a passion to change the world, and share our excitement in how renewable energy can help shape the future?
Our Research and Development teams focus on generator, power converter hardware, software, models and associated components that make the wind turbine electrical drive-train, taking ideas from research and concept design through prototyping, test and validation, to realisation in our wind turbines.
Thereafter, we support the manufacturing units, installation and commissioning project teams, and service teams in the application of the product.
This is an internship position which will involve a placement in one of our operational teams with the option of periods between three to 12 months, to gain knowledge and experience.
The placement can be aligned to contribute to ongoing undergraduate studies where the interests of the candidate and company align.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Research into new and emerging technologies.
- Capturing and documentation of detailed requirements
- Evaluation of potential technical solutions.
- Development of design solutions.
- Liaising with Suppliers.
- Production of detailed technical specification for procured items.
- Validation of components/equipment in laboratory/wind turbines.
- Creation of system models and utilisation of them to perform simulations.
- Control system design and implementation.
- Software design, code and test.
