Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor or Commercial Director you will manage the commercial delivery of a number of developments as part of a team around South Wales and the South West. You will maintain control of budgets throughout the development, reporting on costs, ordering materials, subcontract orders you will provide support to the wider Surveying and Estimating team and gain experience, training and relevant qualifications to further your professional career.
What you'll need to succeed
For the best chance of success with this role you will have some experience within a Trainee or Assistant level Quantity Surveyor role. You will likely live local to Newport and be happy to travel to sites further afield with very occasional overnight stays if required. You will have a genuine passion for construction. You will likely hold a degree or be in the process of getting a degree in Quantity Surveying and commercial management. You will be confident in dealing with subcontractors, clients and the public. Finally, you will be well organised and manage your time well alongside a sound overall knowledge of the construction process.
