As Barclays Quantitative Analyst Prime Services, you will be a part of the QA Prime Services team that sits within QA Markets department. The QA Prime Services supports rapidly growing Prime Services business at Barclays. In your role, you will be involved in model development, modelling support, market data calibration and desk support. You will also be responsible for interacting and collaborating with various teams and stakeholders across the closely related teams.

- Designing, developing, and improving models and analytics in Prime, specifically Fixed Income Financing
- Accounting for the maintenance and extension of our models used for pricing/risk/market discovery/regulatory reporting
- Implementing model change enhancement within our pricing framework
- Liaising with Front Office and Technology to deploy our library/tools to production
- Providing daily support for front office trading activity
- Spotting any potential problems and finding ways to solve them
- Providing tactical analysis on risk, PnL, and the like
- Working with confidential information, where discretion and trust are essential
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s in financial mathematics or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar
- Extensive working knowledge of Python/C++ (or other object-oriented programming languages) and experience in quant libraries, fixed income product pricing
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills (probabilities, stochastics, integration theory etc.), familiarity and practical experience with statistics and data analysis
- Critical thinking, great attention to detail and independent problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of financing products (repo/margin loan/securities lending/total return swaps), as well as linear hedging instruments (FX/IR Swaps, Basis Swaps, forwards/futures)
- Role specific asset class experience (fixed income)
- Experience with cross-platform / cross-technology development (Windows/Linux) and workflow automation
- Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Jupyter, Dash)
