Role Description
This role will provide technical knowledge and support to the operational team on Technical Standards (including OPEX-MS and BRCGS).
To support all audits on site to ensure the auditor receives information in a timely and effective manner.
To support the factory with close out of corrective actions arising from audits / visits and observations.
Work with the technical and operation teams and other functional areas to build effective relationships, develop trust and promote a food safety & quality culture.
To train out core technical skills such as allergen awareness, food hygiene and HACCP.
To be part of key projects such as allergen & cleaning validations. Provide technical support to trials.
To achieve success in this position it is critical that the QAT demonstrates root cause analysis and risk assessment knowledge.
Skills and Experience
- The ideal candidate will have BRC working knowledge and a strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems.
- Experience of working in a Food Manufacturing environment.
- Relevant 3rd Level Qualification in a related discipline.
- HACCP Level 4
- Good communication
- Ability to organise work load
- Ability to priorities work load
- Computer skills – ability to use word/excel/Microsoft office
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to write a reports
- Excellent attention to detail
