Job Description


Supporting the Industrial Solutions and Fasteners Solutions businesses from the High Wycombe site, this role will be responsible for establishing and controlling continuous improvements in the Quality Management systems in order to maintain certification and ensure efficient and effective process management.

This role will also be accountable for the product compliance for both Industrial Solutions and Fasteners Solutions businesses, ensuring that all elements of this are covered in order to maintain stock levels and supply to our customers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Product compliance

  • Researches compliance legislations
  • Analyzes legislation trends and their implications on Avery Dennison PFS products
  • Creates documentation of necessary project outcomes and follows up
  • Builds and maintains collaboration across multiple functions to support business needs
  • Partners with Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Purchasing and other professionals across the company to ensure compliance to our customers
  • Establishes fast response time to customer requests
  • Develops, implements and conducts internal audit programs
  • Conducts internal training in order to support changes in legislation
  • Conducts regular reporting’s to official authorities
  • Liaising with the trade and product compliance team to ensure all import requirements are covered.
  • Supporting the sales and customer service teams with technical information around product compliance.

Quality

  • Update and manage QMS system in order to ensure compliance with the standard across the relevant areas and maintain BSI accreditation
  • Work with colleagues in relevant teams to establish SOPs for key processes in order to build and maintain quality manual
  • To ensure that all customer complaints are acknowledged and investigated, with the results of that investigation and its corrective actions reported.
  • To investigate and action all customer claims for credit due to quality or service failure within agreed lead times
  • Provide prompt investigation for all non-conformances and report findings in order to put improvement programs in place
  • Develop BSI internal audit team and work with team to ensure conformance to predefined quality processes
  • Ensuring training needs are identified and addressed
  • Driving for high quality standards across the organization, including inbound and outbound controls

Qualifications


The Quality Specialist will have a pro-active approach to work, with the following skills and experience:

  • Degree in Engineering or Technical background preferred
  • ISO9001 experience is essential
  • First hand experience in a quality environment
  • A background in driving and supporting change through project management
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work in a multicultural and matrix organization
  • Ability and desire to travel both domestically and within Europe
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data
  • An ability to build strong relationships and credibility and with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Excellent written and language skills in English other languages would be a plus
