Quality Manager

At our Milton Keynes production facility, we are looking to recruit a Quality Manager.

The role holder would be accountable for directing all quality management matters, the quality strategy and promoting the quality philosophy within the Business Unit, (BU).

The role holder will need to lead their team effectiely to minimise quality risks and contribute to improving manufacturing performance.

Main Duties:

• Responsible for all customer facing quality issues together with managing the relationship ensuring full customer satisfaction.
• To lead Quality activities for the BU, to ensure Divisional, Corporate, external audit and customer expectations are met.
• Quality Policy & Processes: Communicates customer, regulatory and organisational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Quality System Management: Oversees the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies.
• Quality Training: Works with Division leadership to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.
• Coordinates necessary personnel, including their direct reports, for internal, customer and third-party quality system audits.
• Maintains a corrective action system to analyse and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints. Analyse the problem in depth to understand the root cause and eliminate, to avoid re-occurrence of the same problem in future.
• Collaborates with supply chain on the supplier management strategy, assessing supplier capabilities and monitoring supplier quality to ensure desired levels of performance.
• Quality & New Product Development: Collaborates with Engineering on new product development and design review for quality/reliability issues; overseeing the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
