Join the world of PepsiCo Supply Chain in our fast paced manufacturing environment. With responsibility for the design and implementation of the Quality and Food Safety Strategy for two factories at our site in Leicester, we’re looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team and drive outstanding quality and food safety results. Working alongside the iconic brand Walkers, your leadership, innovation and problem solving skills will be utilised to the fullest in this fast paced and ever changing environment
Position Summary
Reports to: Manufacturing Director
Direct reports: 15-20 across two factories
Main Accountability
Responsible for site quality performance. This includes the reduction of CPM across all categories to exceed AOP and championing the quality systems. You’ll also lead the quality elements of the IPS audit and be responsible for food safety and factory hygiene.
As a people manager, you’ll actively develop your direct reports, ensuring that a pipeline for talent is identified and their growth facilitated.

- Build and develop a culture that drives food safety across site
- Set site hygiene standards and ensure factory hygiene standards are met
- Own legal compliance and lead the internal audits
- Act as first point of contact with regulatory authorities
- Drive compliance to AIB and BRC
- Responsible for product compliance to specification, making decisions on finished product
- Host supplier/customer visits as required
- Sponsor and own safety elements for our Safety Management System (GEHSMS)
- Build AOP including training and capital plan, including AOP budgeting
- Influence Operations Teams to optimise plant standards and product quality
- Champion safe behaviour across both factories, act as subject matter expert to other departments and prioritise corrective actions regarding site standards and product quality
- Provide strong leadership across the Quality Team
Qualifications:
What we’re looking for:
- Strong technical skills developed from significant experience in a similar role
- HACCP Level 4
- Proven people manager skills in coaching and performance management
- Strong leader who can motivate team and develop internal talent.
- Ability to influence peers (Operations Managers, Frontline colleagues etc)
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, capable of leading people through change
