As Quality Manager you will lead a small team and will have the autonomy to drive a transformation journey, embedding a continual improvement-focussed Quality Assurance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- You will use initiative and sound judgement to ensure and assure continued compliance to customers' and industry requirements.
- You will identify the best quality tools and execute investigations / analysis in order to improve the product quality, to reduce the cost of quality and support the brand reputation.
- Full responsibility for all aspects of the QMS and compliance to customer, industry, and regulatory requirements – ISO9001, IATF16949, AS9100 & OEM approvals.
- Lead the development and implementation of short, medium and long-term objectives with respect to product assurance and quality.
- Developing a 'zero defect' mindset to the manufacturing processes.
- Driving a RFT programme across the facility that drives improvement across all processes ensuring processes are repeatable and predictable.
- Lead training and development in the pursuit of a ‘best-in-class’ Quality team.
Who we’re looking for?
- Proven track record as a successful Quality Leader (you may be a manager or senior quality engineer) within regulated engineering environments – open on sectors, but could be aerospace, automotive, power generation, rail, defence, motorsport.
- Inspirational leader.
- First-class problem-solving skills with a positive, enthusiastic approach to eliminating issues and providing long term solutions.
- A proven ‘change agent’ utilising modern CI/Lean tools.
- Must be an excellent collaborator working closely with your peer group.
- Must be an excellent communicator, capable of engaging with individuals one-on-one as well as being able to deliver briefings, workshops, and training.
