Job description
Job Title: Quality Lead
We are Multiverse, a tech scaleup with a social mission. We’re creating a diverse group of future leaders by building an outstanding alternative to university and corporate training, through the power of professional apprenticeships. We’re one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe and rapidly expanding in North America, working with over 500 clients including McKinsey & Co, Morgan Stanley, Verizon and Visa. In June 2022, we broke the EdTech funding record (again!) by announcing our $220m Series D, making Multiverse the UK’s first-ever EdTech unicorn. Join us on our journey to democratising access to the best careers and learning opportunities.
The role:
Multiverse’s Delivery Operations team is responsible for driving operational excellence in Delivery, the department made up of hundreds of coaches who deliver our programmes to several thousand apprentices. Delivery Operations is a strategic function that drives improvement and best practice, works collaboratively with other teams to develop and implement performance improvement initiatives, and helps to set the priorities of Delivery and other areas of the company.
We are looking for an ambitious Quality Lead to join as an integral part of our Delivery Operations team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of how we monitor and improve the quality of our apprenticeship programmes, by reviewing our quality framework, identifying areas for change, and driving improvement projects in collaboration with senior stakeholders across the business. As we continue to grow rapidly, maintaining the outstanding quality of our programmes is key to the success of our apprentices, our company and our ability to demonstrate to external bodies such as Ofsted that we can achieve outstanding results while delivering at a huge scale. The successful candidate will therefore play a direct role in furthering Multiverse’s mission to build a diverse generation of future leaders.
In this role, you will:
Conduct a strategic review of Multiverse’s approach to monitoring and improving programme quality, and define a new framework for managing and reporting on apprentice outcomes through the next stage of our rapid growth
Embed the new approach and take ownership of the continuous improvement cycle, working with stakeholders to identify best practices and areas of quality improvement across programme delivery and operations
Engage senior stakeholders from teams including Delivery, Learning and Technology to ensure effective change management, supported by a team of project managers who will deliver programme, process and system improvement projects
Work closely with the Data & Insights team to monitor data on programme quality, review performance against targets and identify trends in areas such as apprentice attainment, coach performance and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) factors
Be Multiverse’s in-house expert in meeting government requirements as a regulated learning provider and the go-to person for regulatory queries from teams across the company, such as Sales, Marketing and Customer Success
Present to senior leaders on programme performance and improvement initiatives, preparing materials for committees with responsibility for programme delivery and educational standards
Work collaboratively with other teams who have an important stake in programme quality, such as Compliance and Degree Programmes, to align plans and streamline data capture, processes and external reporting requirements
What you bring:
5+ years of professional experience and proven success in one or all of the following areas: quality assurance, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and change management. Education experience is preferred but not necessary.
Strategic mindset and a passion for problem-solving and performance improvement
Ability to translate data and insights into proposals and initiatives that drive improved results
Highly organised, with excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritise
Confidence in communicating with, influencing and challenging stakeholders at all levels
Benefits:
Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 7 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days and 4 company-wide wellbeing days
Health & wellbeing - private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, and access to Spill - all-in-one mental health support
Hybrid & remote working - weekly visits to the London office
Equity - every Multiverse employee has ownership in the business through equity options
Team fun - weekly socials and regular offsite events
Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:
We’re an equal opportunities employer. And proud of it. Every applicant and employee is afforded the same opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status. This will never change.
Right to work:
Do you have the right to work in the UK? Unfortunately, at this time we cannot offer sponsorship for this role and we cannot consider overseas applications.
Safeguarding:
All posts in Multiverse involve some degree of responsibility for safeguarding. Successful applicants are required to complete a Disclosure Form from the Disclosure and Barring Service ("DBS") for the position. Failure to declare any convictions (that are not subject to DBS filtering) may disqualify a candidate for appointment or result in summary dismissal if the discrepancy comes to light subsequently.
