Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS Acute Hospital Trusts in the UK, comprising ten hospitals and a multitude of local, regional and national clinical services.
We are looking for a self-motivated registered nurse to join our dynamic, friendly, hardworking team within the interventional aspect of our outpatient pain management service. The post holder will be responsible for caring for patients throughout their interventional procedure, from admission to discharge. This includes pre-operative assessment, theatre and recovery.
Pain Management Service
Band 5 Staff Nurse - Outpatient Interventional Suite.
37.5 hours per week - part time hours will be considered.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic, friendly, hard working nursing team within the interventional aspect of our pain management service. The post holder will be responsible for caring for patients throughout their day case journey. This includes pre-operative assessment, admission to the department, theatre, recovery and discharge planning. Some of the procedures are carried out under x-ray guidance and the use of lead aprons is essential to the role. Applicants should ideally have experience within an acute care setting, theatre, recovery or day case unit. Training will be provided on all procedures carried out within the department. You will need to be flexible; self-motivated and have excellent interpersonal skills. The post holder will be a team player who is committed to the challenges of maintaining our high quality standards of care for all our patients within this ever growing speciality. Your on going professional development will be actively encouraged and supported. Working days and shift patterns will be agreed by the line manager to meet the needs of the service.
Although based at Wythenshawe Hospital, some cross site/department working may be required.
