What you will enjoy doing
- You will be responsible for inspecting critical and sensitive aerospace parts and understanding the inspection priorities within the department to meet production requirements and targets
- This position is responsible for ensuring all processed components conform to the Customers and internal requirements, both incoming and outgoing
- Further, you will ensure the paperwork package is correct, confirming the customer drawing and the drawing issue status is correct
- You will visually inspect parts to ensure they adhere to the technical specifications, and identifying anomalies will be part of this role
- You will use appropriate documentation and measuring equipment to ensure all requirements have been met.
What makes you great
- You must be able to use various pieces of measuring equipment, make mathematical calculations and evolve set ups for measuring purposes (unit conversions)
- Some previous exposure to inspection within manufacturing, coating or aerospace industries is desirable
- You must be a flexible individual, with the ability to prioritise work and adapt to the changing production/quality demands when required
- You have good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- In addition, you have the ability to withstand pressures, typical within a service industry, from other departments
- Good vision and attention to detail is required
