Quality Inspector
Location: Eaglescliffe, Teesside
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: From £25,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The Role:
Due to Business growth, Mersen UK have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join the expanding QC (Quality Control) team based in our Teesside site (Eaglescliffe). We are looking for a driven, meticulous, and confident Engineer who has an interest in learning and developing into the Quality Inspector role. Therefore, full training on the quality role will be provided for the successful candidate. The main duties associated with the Quality Inspector are:
- To read blueprints and specifications.
- To monitor our Operations team ensuring that products produced meet customer requirements.
- To recommend adjustments to the Assembly or Production processes.
- To inspect, test, and measure materials or products being manufactured.
- To measure products with a range of equipment/tools including callipers, gauges, or micrometres.
- To accept or reject finished items.
- To remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications and provide recommendations on best practice.
- To discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
- To report on inspections and test data as when required.
Person Specification:
- It’s essential that applicants have proven turning/milling experience. Further the successful candidate must be able to understand drawings and associated GD+T specifications.
- Applicants must be an advanced user of all programmes associated with Microsoft Office.
- Candidates must be educated to atleast GCSE level (Grade 4/C or above) in English and Mathematics or hold relevant equivalent qualifications. Applicants must also hold a Level 3 qualication in an Engineering field.
- As full training will be provided in this role, it’s vital the successful candidate has a postive attitude and is proactive with their development.
