- Document the quality of product delivered and during storage.
- Reject product that fails to meet specifications and standards.
- Work as part of the Quality/Technical team in ensuring high standards are met with a view to continual improvement.
- Check rejected produce are isolated for return.
- Ensure that systems and procedures are adhered to.
- Respond to daily delivery issues regarding quality.
- Cover other Quality areas where necessary.
- Responding to customer complaints and ensuring the monitoring of the suppliers and product causing complaints
- To work in a team-based environment where all managers/employees work together for the good of the business.
- Through the department provide ongoing intelligence/data/information that can be used by other departments in order to make more informed decisions
- Ensure that all applicable legislation (H&S, Hygiene, BRC, etc) for a modern food business are in place and adhered to by all and that any violations are reported to your business.
- Specific projects or activities as directed by your line manager.
- Ensure produce and other product categories accepted into the business and stored within the business is deemed 'Fit for Purpose' and is within specification.
- Customer focused and solutions driven.
- Basic health and hygiene certificate
- Product knowledge of fruit and vegetables an advantage
- I.T skills
- Competent in both written and oral communication
- Team player who can work independently if necessary.
