TXM Recruit are actively seeking a Quality Engineer in Basildon who will be responsible for working with various department areas and identifying issues during internal audits and problem solve accordingly.

Role: Quality Engineer
Location: Basildon
Job type: Permanent
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000
Shift: 08:00 - 17:00 Mon Thursday 07:30 - 12:30 Fri

Duties:

Liaise with department team leaders for dealing with non-conformance
Apply working knowledge of 8D problem solving / Route Cause Analysis
Familiar with a working knowledge of Non-Conforming product/processes, in addition to experience with Root cause investigation techniques (8D, 5 Whys, Cause & Effect)
Assist in training of internal procedures and customer processes
Arranging and reviewing sub contracted Calibration Items
Involved in Material Review Board activities including investigations of any customer findings
Provide guidance and technical support to operational staff for all matters related to quality standards to ensure adherence to AS9100 and other regulatory bodies

Experience needed:

Previously worked as a Quality Engineer within the Aerospace industry
Working knowledge of APQP and quality tools such as FMEA, fishbone, flow diagrams etc
Previous Internal auditing experience
Experience in lean tools such as 8D, 5 Why, RCCA
Experience in customer facing for Quality related products / Issues /Audits
Aerospace manufacturing background ideally specific NADCAP experience (various commodities)
Understanding the needs of UK CAA Regulations (Part 21G) advantageous
