Quality Engineer

Job Description: As a Quality Engineer in a foundry operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical expertise to improve manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement quality control measures. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and passion for continuous improvement will be essential in maintaining and enhancing our quality management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for foundry operations.
- Monitor and evaluate product quality throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify process improvements and implement quality enhancements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulations.
- Perform statistical analysis and use data-driven methodologies to drive process improvements.
- Train and educate employees on quality control processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality-related issues and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and regulations related to foundry operations and incorporate them into our quality systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering.
- Proven experience working in a foundry or similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Familiarity with casting processes, metallurgy, and material specifications.
- Proficient in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, or ASQ Quality Engineer (CQE) are a plus
