Sandwich
Salary – Highly competitive based on experience
Hours - 8am – 4.45pm, Monday – Friday

Do you have experience of lean manufacturing?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity in Sandwich for a Quality Engineer to work for one of our clients who is an engineering contract manufacturer, specialising in supplying the defence and security sector.
Our client is offering a competitive salary depending on experience.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate with the quality manager to facilitate the establishment, regulation, and upkeep of quality control systems
· Assess and authorize raw materials for use in production
· Supervise the supply chain and production operations, conducting regular examinations and inspections
· Determine the underlying reasons behind problems and execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
· Generate necessary reports and maintain documentation as required
· Engage with internal teams to oversee or spearhead customer returns, continuous improvement initiatives, and investigations pertaining to materials and parts
· Deliver training and assistance on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
· Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned
Person Specification:
- Full current driving licence and passport required
- Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Quality assurance, manufacturing, and testing experience
- Use of 8D, 5 Why problem-solving techniques
- Supplier, process, and system auditing
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access
- Good interpersonal skills
- Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Solution focused
- Flexible
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude
