Quality Engineer
Location: Holytown, Motherwell
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: Up to £36,500 per annum, depending on experience.

The Role:
Based at our Holytown site, and reporting to the Process & Quality Manager, the successful candidate will be joining a growing team and will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of our carbon-based products.
What you will be doing:
- Investigating the root causes of non-conformances, identifying & ensuring implementation of corrective/preventative actions to continuously improve quality.
- Responding to customer complaints, implementing containment actions, carrying out full analysis, and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures.
- Develop the quality management systems to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Ensuring all QMS requirements are implemented and adhered to within the Manufacturing environment.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
- Compiling manufacturing quality plans and test plans.
- Reviewing production related purchase orders to ensure they contain the correct technical and quality information / detail.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish quality requirements and resolve quality-related issues.
- Participate in new product development activities, ensuring quality considerations are integrated from concept to launch.
Who are we looking for?
Essential Criteria:
- Engineering degree in a related field.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role. within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply analytical thinking to complex quality issues.
Desirable Criteria:
- IRCA Auditor/Lead Auditor.
- Six Sigma Green Belt.
