BAE Systems is seeking a Corporate Communication Specialist to work at our customer site. General Duties required to support the customer include but are not limited to:
- Meet with clients to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed communications to look like.
- Design and implement engagement strategies to key stakeholders to operationalize the communications plan.
- Use metrics to determine the effectiveness of communications and engagement efforts.
- Communicate and coordinate across multiple offices to tailor visual elements such as logos, original images, and illustrations to help deliver strategic messages.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Review final productions for errors and ensure final product reflect client specifications.
- Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
- Use innovative solutions within time constraints.
- Proofread to produce accurate and high-quality work, presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients.
- Excellent communications skills to interpret and negotiate strategies with clients.
- Good presentation skills and confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients and colleagues.
- Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at once
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field and 7-10 Years of experience in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a combination.
- Soft skills, which can be difficult to quantify and reflect how you interact with others and your environment, and hard skills.
- Teamwork skills: Must be able to collaborate and get along with others when they work as part of a communications and engagement team.
- Analytical skills: Must be able to look at their work from the point of view of their consumers and examine how the strategies they develop will be perceived by the consumer to ensure they convey the client’s desired message.
- Attention to detail. Communication skills. Must communication with clients, customers, and other professionals to ensure the desired outcomes.
- Experience with providing strategic communications support, speechwriting, or technical writing.
- Knowledge of issues facing the Intelligence Community, and the Department of Defense.
- Knowledge of functions, products, and technologies.
- Must have strong data gathering and analytical skills.
- Experience providing executive level support.
