You'll always be striving to constantly measure the reduction of risk through the test lifecycle. The ultimate measure of success is Quality software in production.
Job Description

The role of our Quality Engineers are vital in ensuring the products we deliver are fit for purpose and meet the quality and standards that our customers expect.

About the role:
Quality Assurance continuously improve Quality Engineering through innovation and automation. Driving excellence in testing, supporting our Stockbroking Business, with a shared goal of building the best bank of the future. As a Stockbroking Quality Engineer you'll be part of an exciting team responsible for leading and crafting strategies which will allow the Bank to respond to the most critical challenges and opportunities. You'll disrupt and influence our transformation ensuring our standards remain at the highest level whilst seeking opportunities to transform and modernise our operation through technology and modern thinking.
So what would you be doing for us?
  • Working in a dynamic agile delivery environment
  • Using toolsets such as Selenium, SpecFlow, Jira Xray and Performance test tools and Continuous Integration Tools such as Jenkins
  • Working with partners, building long lasting collaborative relationships and inspiring others
  • Provide testing solutions as well as work "hands-on" alongside all other Engineering Disciplines
  • Model the behaviours required to support the organisation's transformation to new ways of working
  • Use an automation first Test approach with a passion for driving productivity and a focus on reducing risk
  • Using your experience of modern software development toolsets and have a desire to stretch into DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines
What we need from you:
  • A solid Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering background with a good knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Models (functional and non-functional), Best Practices and Test Tools. This includes a good awareness of Test Data Creation and Environments validation
  • Track record in modern Quality Engineering and introduction of 3rd Party tools\utilities. You’ll be at ease with leading edge tooling (eg. Experience of toolsets including both open source tools like Selenium, Specflow, Jenkins and Commercial Tools like UFT, Loadrunner, SoapUI) and focusing on BDD Feature Files development using Visual Studio / Github technologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proven development and support experience with an appetite for developing yourself and others to maximise their potential.
  • Be able to implement "Automation first" approach in every phase of software delivery process that aids speed to market, better quality and reduces risks.
  • Exercise responsibility, autonomy and judgement within broad, but well-defined parameters.
  • Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems that are well-defined, sophisticated and often non-routine.
  • Be a quick learner with a growth attitude adapting to new technologies being used within Lloyds and the wider industry whilst bringing those around them on the same journey.
  • Significant problem solving, fixing and analytical skills
