There are 3 Office Services Management Assistant roles available across 3 sheriffdoms within COPFS as noted below.
South Strathclyde Dumfries and Galloway, the home office for this post will be Hamilton
North Strathclyde, the home office for this post will be Paisley
Tayside Central & Fife, the home office for this post will be Kirkcaldy
All roles will likely require regular travel around the local offices with potential for travel to other sheriffdoms to cover as and when required. This travel may result in overnight stays on occasion.
Please note this role will require the post holder to be in office 5 days a week, there will not be any remote working opportunities for this post.

Salary
Starting salary would be £22,182 with the maximum salary on this scale being £24,488 subject to future COPFS pay awards.

About COPFS
The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of all crime in Scotland; the investigation of deaths which require further explanation; and the investigation of complaints against the police.
About the Role
This is an exciting entry level opportunity for someone looking to be involved in many of the practical arrangements for the estates facilities used at COPFS every day.
You will provide support to the Office Service Manager within your sheriffdom to deliver support to the local offices within that area.
This is a role where no two days look alike and would suit someone who can deliver high standards of customer service and can demonstrate strong organisation skills and is adaptable to changing priorities.
You will offer support to other COPFS staff while supporting different people and projects across the service. There are great opportunities for progression in this post and the team supports and actively promotes continuous learning.
The successful candidate would be supported in becoming certified in several qualifications, including Health and Safety.
Role Specific Responsibilities, Activities and Duties
- Provide Administrative support for the Office Services Manager for your Sheriffdom
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement, providing strong customer service.
- Accompanying the Office Service Manager on local office visits.
- Involvement in all aspects of Health and safety for offices, ensuring completion of checklists, assisting in any office refurbishments and maintaining the offices to Health and Safety Standards.
- Involvement in waste management including monitoring confidential waste uplifts
- Work with local Co-Ordinators in offices to manage some of the daily office health and safety requirements.

Essential Criteria Required
- The minimum entry qualifications are 5 National 5’s at grades A-C (including English) or equivalent; or demonstrable experience of general office work.
- Have or be willing to work towards a Health and Safety qualification
- Full UK Driving License
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working in a service delivery sector/role
- Knowledge of delivering improvements to services and processes as well as developing new ways of working
