Location:
Primary locations: Halifax, Bristol or Edinburgh
Secondary location: London
Employees observe a hybrid working pattern and are expected to be in the office on average twice a week.
Salary:
Outside London: £41,715-46,350
London: £48,663-54,070
Salary banding are subject to change taking effect from July 2023.

About the team:
Channels Enabling Quality Assurance provides Quality Engineering services across the group, championing innovation and automation, and driving excellence in testing. Supporting the whole of LBG with an expertise in major programmes and complex deliveries we have a shared goal of building the best bank of the future.
Joining us as a Quality Engineer, you'll use your technical skills to support the delivery of quality software solutions into production. You’ll be continually challenged, motivated, mentored and supported to develop your skills and bring forward the best solutions to conduct effective testing.
An ideal Quality Engineer will be technically literate, experienced in automated and manual testing processes, keen to learn, able to communicate well, with an interest in ensuring quality services are delivered for customers and colleagues. A willingness to get stuck in and learn on the job is essential.

What we need from you:
Technical:
- Experience of Quality Engineering with an Automation First approach
- Cloud knowledge and a willingness to work towards Cloud accreditation (GCP, Azure or IBM/Kyndryl)
- Experience with Quality Engineering, NFT, Performance Engineering, securing Test Data and co-ordinating test Environments
- Some experience of programming languages including Groovy, Python, Bash, Powershell, JavaScript, Java, SQL/noSQL, and/or Unix Shell and a willingness to develop these and other skills
- Understanding of DevOps principles (CI/CD) and tools including Jenkins, Git, SonarQube
- Experience with toolsets such as Selenium, Cucumber, Perfecto, UFT, Appiu, Saucelabs
- Good skills on Jira, Confluence, Xray and ALM
- Knowledge of containerisation including Docker and Google Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Defect Management, Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis and/or Config Management would be advantageous
- ISTQB Foundation Certification
Change Delivery and Non-Technical:
- Good Organisational Awareness
- Knowledge of change methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall
- Logical and creative thinking skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build working relationships
- Experience of working in a team but also able to work independently and to take responsibility - and uses own initiative
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop as a “hands on” Quality Engineer
