The Sr Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth deployment of private cloud PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive) software solutions for clients. The Sr Quality Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally across solution architecture; site reliability engineering; hosting, networking and infrastructure; product management; product development; application implementation and technical integration professional services; and the customer and customer’s 3rd party vendors to: plan, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of the client's software solution, plan and coordinate execution of system, customer, vendor, end-to-end and performance testing; oversee and coordinate resolution to complex performance issues across the testing through stabilization phases.
Reporting to the Implementation Quality Director Professional Services, you will contribute to defining and continuously improving Implementation Quality processes, tools, measures and success criteria with a focus on zero/minimum error software delivery scenarios.
Major Accountabilities
The Quality Engineer will be responsible to:
Develop and review test plans and test cases to ensure that the software solution meets the client's requirements.- Conduct execution of test phases, tracking progress, developing and reviewing test reports
- Provide advanced resolution support to troubleshoot complex technical issues that arise during the implementation testing and go live phases, working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines are met and customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Maintain solution architecture documentation related to installation, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Contributed to development of quality control processes for customer implementations.
- Gather and assess lessons learned to lead and manage the continuous improvement of the implementation quality process.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate between all teams - Infrastructure, Support, R&D, SMEs, Sales Engineers, and business stakeholders as well as with client teams.
- Serve as a technical expert and liaison between the customer, sales, product development, and cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate the deployment of private cloud or on-premise PACS and VNA software solution architecture for clients.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members as required.
- Act as an escalation point for customers and team members to help resolve complex / critical customer solutions and situations;
- Provide test summary reports, suitable for executive level customer communication.
- Work with peers across Intelerad to prioritize Intelerad deliverables across all customers as needed;
- Perform all job functions consistent with Intelerad policies and compliance procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of experience within the healthcare medical imaging or related industry;
- 5+ years of experience in implementing PACS and VNA software, with at least 2 years of experience in a consulting or professional services
- Experience with private cloud deployment; public cloud AWS, Azure.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, database management, and security.
- Experience with functional and performance testing of software.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and customers simultaneously.
- Knowledge of and experience with integration to DICOM, and HL7 standards.
- Familiarity with virtualization and cloud technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies is a plus.
- Certification in PACS or VNA.
- Knowledge of medical imaging and healthcare industry.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Ability to travel 25-50% to client site;
- This role is expected to be 70-80% billable.
