Formel D is the global service provider of the automotive industry. We develop market-leading concepts as well as individual, scalable solutions along the entire automotive value chain – from development to production to aftersales.

We are currently working alongside automotive manufacturers in the UK and we are currently looking for a Quality Engineer.

The Quality Engineer will:

• Monitor, plan and implement quality system, process and product continuous improvements
• Manage the customer debit notes process for 0-KM incidents by using the SAP system and approve the invoices of the 3rd party containment activities
• Manage and process costs associated with concerns to minimise the financial impact
• Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators (eg customer incidents, customer ratings, scrap cost, firewall failures)
• Support customer teams with the planning of new projects and lessons learnt

The Quality Engineer will need:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar roles
• Knowledge and application of problem solving tools and techniques
• 8D process, Ishikawa, FMEA, Control Plan etc.
• To be PC literate
• Knowledge and application of a range of statistical techniques including SPC, MSA
• To be independent and problem solving
• Able to understand Engineering drawings
• Have previous experience with product launch

The role:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts
• Overtime availability
